DI Student Helper

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, or designate, the DI Student Helper performs a crucial role in the operations/workflow of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade XII education – Required
• Currently registered in an accredited regulated health program – college/university (Preference will be given to students in Diagnostic Imaging)
• Manual dexterity, motor coordination and physical strength – Required
• Demonstrate knowledge of proper body mechanics for lifting, transporting and ambulating patients – Required.
• Display an interest in performing multi-related jobs and demonstrate good judgement and problem solving ability – Required.
• Prior experience dealing with patients and health professionals an asset;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Demonstrated team leadership and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team approach and to adhere to accepted standards of personal conduct
• Demonstrated evidence of high standards in all aspects of communication
• Strong organizational skills
• General good health and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work as a member of an integrated healthcare team
• French language skills an asset
