SIGNING BONUS:  $ 25,000

WAGE RANGE:  $ 34.95 - $ 41.00

 

JOB SUMMARY:           

The EEG Technologist is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care services in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.  The EEG Technologist is responsible for promoting a patient/family centered, team based approach to patient care delivery.  The EEG Technologist is responsible for delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations. The EEG Technologist complies with the Occupational Health and Safety standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:

  • Current registration with CBRET or eligible for registration – required
  • 1 – 2 years of experience as an EEG tech – preferred
  • Experience in Adult and Paediatric EEG – preferred
  • Experience in video EEG an asset
  • Ensures the confidentiality of all patient information
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent technical and decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, visitors and staff
  • Commitment to standards of excellence and the concept of accountability
  • Commitment to and participation in quality enhancement activities
  • General good health and a level of fitness appropriate to the demands of the position
  • French language skills an asset
