JOB SUMMARY:
Windsor-Essex is embarking on one of the most exciting chapters in its history with the formal approval to construct a new state-of-the-art acute care hospital for the region. The Fancsy Family Hospital will transform healthcare for the Windsor-Essex community for generations to come. The capital campaign for the Fancsy Family Hospital will be the largest fundraising effort in our community’s history.
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports the Manager, Marketing and Communications and the broader Foundation team to advance fundraising goals, enhance brand visibility and engage donors. This multi-faceted role blends content creation, writing and essential event/administrative support. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and tech-savvy content creator who can seamlessly pivot from drafting a media release to designing social media graphics, updating the website or assisting with Foundation events.

DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT (40%)
WRITING & MARKETING MATERIALS (40%)
ADMINISTRATIVE & EVENT SUPPORT (20%)
Responsibilities may shift over time, as priorities evolve, and based on an annual assessment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience working in communications, marketing, fundraising or adjacent fields.
Exceptional writing skills with experience writing, editing and proofreading across a broad range of communications materials.
Strong understanding and experience implementing brand guidelines to create polished, branded communications materials.
Demonstrated consistency in producing high-quality communications materials.
Able to produce high-quality graphic designs and videos, with experience in platforms such as Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premiere Pro or similar.
Experience using communications platforms like MailChimp, Constant Contact or similar to create and schedule e-blasts – ideally to large audiences.
Proven track record in successfully managing and growing business social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
Knowledge of and prior experience using analytics tools, including in-platform tools on social media and Google Analytics an asset.
Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge/NXT an asset but not required.
This position requires occasional attendance/participation at events in the evening or on weekends.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in fundraising is highly desirable.
